Blog Archive Harvard Business School Rebrands Online Program in Hopes of Reaching More Students
Blog Archive Harvard Business School Rebrands Online Program in Hopes of Reaching More Students Harvard Business School (HBS) recently announced that its online learning platform, previously titled âHBX,â has been renamed âHarvard Business School Online.â More than 40,000 individuals have completed a course with the program since its launch in 2014. Patrick J. Mullane, the programâs executive director, told The Harvard Crimson that the rebranding was driven by the schoolâs hope of attracting more students, including those who may not have previously realized that the online program was an HBS offering. âIt wasnât really clear to a lot of people when we had the name HBX that we were necessarily directly affiliated with the Harvard Business School,â Mullane commented to the Crimson. Mullane emphasized that adding the prestigious Harvard name to the title of the program was a thoroughly thought-out decision that was in development for nearly a year, and he explained that the change is indeed intended to help the school reach more online students and continue its mission to âeducate leaders who make a difference in the world.â Harvard Business School Online courses for 2018â"2019 include âScaling Ventures,â âEntrepreneurship Essentials,â âDisruptive Strategy,â and âFinancial Accounting.â Share ThisTweet Harvard University (Harvard Business School) News
